Golden Knights sign Lucas Elvenes to Entry Level Deal.

Per the Golden Knights official webpage and Social Media accounts, Lucas Elvenes has been signed to a 3 year entry Level contract. Elvenes was drafted in the 5th round of the 2017 draft with the 127th overall pick. He Joins fellow swede and former Swedish U18 championship teammate, Erik Bränström as a new member of the Golden Knights organization.

With Elvenes signed, there remain 5 draft picks from 2017 who are yet to have received their entry-level deals, Jonas Røndbjerg (LW/RW), Maxim Zhukov (G), Jack Dugan (LW), Nicholas Campoli (C) and Jiri Patera, (G). We will be highlighting these players in our upcoming Draft review/Preview.

Most recently, Elvenes has played in the Swedish SHL with Rögle BK, scoring 5 goals, 11 Assists for a total of 21 points in 28 games played before he was loaned to IK Oskarshamn

  • Lucas’ Father, Stefan Elvenes was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in round 4 of the 1988 Draft at 71st overall. He did not play any games in the NHL but led a long career in the Swedish and Danish leagues.
  • His Uncle, Roger Elvenes won the Danish Championship in 2002 with the Rungstead Cobras
